No matter where you are with Jesus, there’s always more.
Here are a few ways you can grow today!

Grow Personally

God loves you! No matter where you come from, what you look like, or what you’ve done, He loves you tremendously. You may feel like you don’t deserve God’s love, but the truth is that none of us deserve it. That’s what makes His love so amazing.

God gave His son Jesus to die and pay for our sins because we are incapable of the perfection it takes to get to heaven. You don’t have to change yourself to come to God, but get ready to be changed when you do!

Romans 10:9 says “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

So, the two questions we have are, “Do you truly believe that God raised Jesus from the dead?” and “Is Jesus the Lord of your life?” If so, your relationship with God has already begun. You can start the same way you start any relationship- Talk to Him. He’s listening.

If you’ve decided to follow Jesus, let us know We want to help you live the life God has called you to. This is only the beginning!

Water baptism is an important act of obedience for every believer and it identifies you with Jesus Christ. It does not save you; you are saved by grace through faith.

We believe that baptism is immersing a willing Christian in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is dying to ourselves and being raised to a new life in Jesus.

If you’re ready to be baptized, or just have questions, let us know.

The Bible is God’s message to us. In order to grow in our relationship with Him, listening to His message is vital. The Bible tells us all about God’s love and promises, and how we can follow Jesus on a daily basis.

If you don’t have a Bible, you can download the YouVersion Bible App for free right on your phone or tablet. We recommend starting with The Gospel of John where you will learn about the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Then read through the book of Romans, where Paul teaches us about salvation and our walk with God. After that, check out the reading plans in the YouVersion App.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Paul tells us to pray without ceasing. It seems like an impossible task, simply because we have things to do! But Paul knew exactly what he was talking about. It’s not about going through a ritual or positioning our bodies in a prayerful position.

It’s about being aware of God’s constant presence in our lives. Talk to Him always, because He is always with you. It’s good to make time to pray alone, but God is always with us and He always hears us. Talk to Him!

Grow together

Here at CBC in Boerne, TX, we have a mission- To reach, teach, and help people in Jesus’ name. If you are a part of this church, you have a part in the mission. Everyone has unique gifts and talents and there are many ways to serve. Our only criteria is a willing heart. Even if you don’t know where you’d like to help out contact us. There’s a place for you!
One of the first things Jesus did when he started His ministry was form a small group. When the church was formed in the book of Acts, the people cared for each other, prayed for each other, and met each others’ needs. Even in the smallest churches, this cannot be accomplished effectively by only attending a Sunday morning service.

We believe that meeting in smaller settings allows people to develop deeper relationships and to meet needs that would otherwise fly under the radar. If you want more information on joining a group, let us know and we’ll get you connected.

When you give to CBC Boerne, your donation goes directly to our mission- To reach, teach, and help people in Jesus’ name.

What we believe about giving is summed up perfectly in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7

“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

One of the most amazing things you can do is share Jesus with the people around you. Tell them your story, talk about Jesus, bring them to church. You never know how big of an impact a simple invitation could have on a person.

“82% of the unchurched are at least somewhat likely to attend church if invited.” –Dr. Thom Rainer, The Unchurched Next Door

Be encouraged!

Studies also say that it could take inviting a person up to seven times before they’ll actually come to church.

Be persistent!

Keep in mind that every time you invite someone to church, you’re saying, “I care”. That might be exactly what they need to hear!
